Situated in the tranquil and culturally vibrant village of Bharsuja in the Balangir district of Odisha, Chheliapat Nodal High School serves as a landmark of learning, tradition, and community growth. Founded in 1974, the school is named in honor of the esteemed local deity, Goddess Maa Chheliapat, who is thought to safeguard and bless the village and its inhabitants.

Throughout the years, the school has transformed from a basic educational facility into a comprehensive institution that encourages both academic achievement and ethical values. It not only emphasizes standard education but also strives to cultivate life skills, discipline, and self-sufficiency in its students.

In 2017, the school launched Vocational Education, adding courses in Information Technology (IT) and Tourism & Hospitality (TH). These programs have equipped students with practical abilities and job-ready knowledge, enabling them to become proactive and competitive in contemporary career fields.

Additionally, since 2022, the school has incorporated NCC (National Cadet Corps) training with Ex-Teacher Mr. Dhananjaya Bhoi .This program has instilled discipline, leadership qualities, and a sense of patriotism among the pupils, fostering their development into responsible and engaged citizens.Now the Department in charge under Mr.Dillip Dang-CTO ,11(O) BN NCC, BALANGIR.

The school’s ongoing success can be attributed to a committed team of educators, each bringing their expertise and dedication to shaping the students' futures. The in-charge Headmaster, Ms. Susmita Pati, is a dynamic leader recognized for her discipline and dedication.

Senior teacher Mr. Ananda Kumar Sahoo plays a crucial role in mentoring both students and staff with his extensive experience. Hindi instruction is provided by Mr. Sanjaya Sahu, a dedicated educator. In the English department, Ms. Sujata Sahoo and Miss Nitu Bhoi work to help students hone their communication skills. 

Ms. Meenakshi Padhan and Mr. Suresh Tandi teach Odia, fostering cultural and linguistic connections. The Science curriculum is delivered by Mr. Soumeswar Padhan, Ms. Lubhasini Bhoi, and Mr. Mukesh Chouhan, who spark curiosity and encourage scientific reasoning. 

Mathematics is taught by Miss Snigdharanee Sahu, who makes even challenging concepts understandable for students. IT Teacher Mr. Dillip Dang and TH Teacher Mr. Alok Joshi are essential to the vocational program, providing students with modern technical and service industry skills. Ms. Lochana Sahu teaches Sanskrit, cultivating an appreciation for heritage and classical knowledge. Including teacher Mr. Digambar Sahu, Mr.Ramesh Chandra Tripathy,Mr. Bidyapati Mishra, Mr. Lingaraj Kumbhar, and Miss. Mitarani Sahu, support various academic and extracurricular activities, enriching the overall educational atmosphere.
